By leaving your device at TM Computers for repair, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before authorizing any repair work.
1. Estimates & Authorization
All repair estimates are free of charge and provided before any work begins. No repair work will be performed without your explicit approval of the estimated cost. Estimates are valid for 7 days. Final prices may vary from the estimate if additional issues are discovered during repair β you will be contacted before any additional work is performed.
2. Warranty
All repair work performed by TM Computers carries a 30-day warranty on parts and labor. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and parts installed by TM Computers. The warranty does not cover:
- New damage caused after the repair (drops, liquid damage, power surges)
- Virus or malware infections occurring after repair
- Issues unrelated to the original repair
- Damage caused by user modification or unauthorized repair attempts
Warranty service must be requested within 30 days of the original repair pickup date.
3. Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of device pickup. We accept cash and major credit/debit cards. Devices will not be released until payment is received in full. Partial payments are not accepted unless prior arrangements have been made in writing.
4. Abandoned Devices
Devices not picked up within 20 days of notification that the repair is complete will be considered abandoned. TM Computers reserves the right to:
- Charge a storage fee of $5 per day after the 20-day period
- Sell, recycle, or dispose of abandoned devices to recover unpaid repair costs
We will make reasonable attempts to contact you via phone, SMS, and email before taking any action on an abandoned device.
5. Data & Privacy
TM Computers is not responsible for data loss during repair. We strongly recommend backing up all data before bringing your device in for service. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, some repairs may require wiping or reinstalling the operating system. We will inform you before performing any action that may result in data loss.
Your personal information (name, phone, email) is used only to communicate with you about your repair. We do not sell or share your information with third parties.
6. Limitation of Liability
TM Computers' liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use your device, including but not limited to lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.
7. Pre-Existing Damage
TM Computers will document any pre-existing damage to your device at the time of check-in. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage that was present before the repair. Please inform us of any known damage at drop-off.
8. Declined Repairs
If you decline the repair after a diagnosis has been performed, a diagnostic fee may apply. This fee will be communicated to you at the time of your decision. No fee applies if you approve and then cancel before work begins.
9. SMS & Email Communications
By providing your phone number and email address, you consent to receive repair status updates, notifications, and payment reminders via SMS and email. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages at any time.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any disputes arising from repair services provided by TM Computers shall be resolved in Salt Lake County, Utah.
