001 · Why West Valley chooses us

Worth the trip across the valley.

Reason 01 — Hablamos español

Servicio en español

We speak Spanish. If you're more comfortable explaining the problem in Spanish, just say so when you call or walk in. No language barrier between you and getting your computer fixed.

Reason 02 — Technical depth

Microsoldering & board-level repair

Most West Valley repair options handle screens and batteries. We do board-level work — microsoldering, dead motherboards, liquid damage. If a shop told you your laptop is "not repairable," we're the second opinion.

Reason 03 — Twenty years

Same shop, same hands, since 2004

No rotating staff, no overseas call center. The same person has been fixing computers in Salt Lake City for over twenty years. Walk in any Mon-Fri 2-9pm or Saturday 1-5pm.

002 · For West Valley residents and businesses

From Redwood Road to the airport — we work with West Valley.

West Valley City is the second-largest city in Utah and home to one of the most diverse communities in the state. We see a lot of West Valley customers — the trip is about 15 minutes via I-215 or 3500 South, and our shop is right where 1300 South meets State Street.

We see working families with laptops the kids use for school and the parents use for work, that just need to keep running. We see small business owners along Redwood Road, 3500 South, and 5400 South — restaurants, auto shops, taquerias, salons, contractors — whose POS, office workstation, or networking gear has died. We see plenty of Spanish-speaking customers who appreciate being able to explain the problem in Spanish without losing anything in translation.

The advantage of crossing the valley: a real shop with real equipment. Microscope, microsoldering bench, hot air station, board-level diagnostic tools. Not a kiosk at the mall. Not a tech who comes to your kitchen with a USB drive. A workshop where the work actually happens.

Common West Valley repair jobs

  • Family laptops — slow, full of malware, won't connect to WiFi. Usually a 1-2 day full clean and tune-up.
  • Small business POS systems — restaurants and shops along Redwood Rd whose register or kitchen display went down.
  • Liquid damage — coffee, soda, beer. Don't power it on, bring it in fast. Board-level cleaning and component replacement.
  • Dead laptops and MacBooks — won't power on at all. Microsoldering territory. Often a single blown component, not a dead motherboard.
  • Network and WiFi setup — small business networks, routers, printers, file sharing.
003 · Microsoldering & board-level repair

Other shops give up. We don't.

When a chain repair shop tells you your laptop is "totaled" and tries to sell you a new one, that's often not the full story. Most of the time, the problem is a single failed component on the motherboard — a power management chip, a charging IC, a small surface-mount part. Repairable for a fraction of replacement cost.

We do microsoldering, board-level diagnostics, and component-level repair. If your MacBook or PC is dead, bring it in for a free diagnostic. We'll tell you honestly whether it can be saved and what it would cost.

005 · Questions from West Valley

Things people ask us. Honest answers.

¿Hablan español?
Sí, hablamos español. Llámenos al 801-347-6000 o venga al taller y explíquenos el problema en español. No hay barrera de idioma. Vea esta página en español.
How long is the drive from West Valley?
About 15 minutes via I-15 north to the 1300 South exit, then east. Our shop is at 40 E 1300 South, right next to Thirst Drinks just east of State Street. Free parking out front.
I was told my laptop is "not repairable." Can you help?
Probably. About half the laptops we get from across the valley have been to another shop first and been told they're totaled. We do microsoldering and board-level repair — fixing the actual broken component instead of swapping whole assemblies. Bring it in for a free 10-minute diagnostic.
Do you work with small businesses?
Yes — we handle small business networks, POS systems, file sharing, server setup, and ongoing computer maintenance for businesses along Redwood Road, 3500 South, and elsewhere in West Valley. Call to discuss your specific situation.
Do you offer pickup or on-site service?
No — we're in-shop only. Our equipment (microscope, microsoldering bench) doesn't travel. But we're 15 minutes east, and parking is free.
What's your warranty?
30 days on every repair. If the same problem comes back within 30 days, we fix it free. Most repairs outlast that warranty by years.

West Valley, we'll see you soon.
